Cauliflower Pizza Crust

Today I’m back with another cauliflower recipe. Since I discovered cauliflower rice I’ve been trying different ways to eat cauliflower and I found that this one is very original, easy, delicious, and, again, it tastes nothing like boiled cauliflower (which I don’t really like).

All you need are a few ingredients and the toppings that you like.

1/2 cauliflower


2 tsp chia seeds with some water

1 tsp paprika

salt, pepper, herbs, olive oil

tomato sauce

cherry tomatoes

arugula / watercress

dired oregano



For the crust you will need to place the chia seeds into some water for 10 min. until it gets jelly. Meanwhile cut your couliflower into pieces and place it in the food processor to make a flour.

Place the cauliflower flour in a cloth and squeeze until there’s no water (you’ll be surprised at how many water it comes out).

Once most of the water has been removed, place it into a bowl and mix it together with the chia seeds, tahini, herbs, salt, pepper and paprika. And make a ball with the dough.

Put olive oil into a baking tray and place the dough. With your hands, mould it into a pizza shape.

Put some tomato sauce, mushrooms and cherry tomatoes (all the ingredients you want to be cooked).

Put in the oven 180ºC for 20 to 30 minutes.

Once the pizza is out, put some arugula or watercress on top and drizzle with olive oil.

Of course, you can use this recipe with any ingrediens you like. The dough is going to be crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside. Be aware that the consistency is not the same as the regular pizza, and sometimes it can easily brake into pieces. But it’s still delicious.
